So what is all of this new age, hippie shit anyway? Why is everyone so excited about yoga, meditation and sitting still and chanting? All of a sudden we're supposed to buy essential oils, sit on our mat and reflect? I don't have time for that!!

So is it a fad? Is it really for hippies? Is it false enlightenment? More ways for the wellness industry to make money? Pay attention, because you're about to get schooled in how to change and enhance your LIFE!!

Everyone is frustrated trying to understand what to eat, which workout to try, what gym to go to, fat vs. low fat, meat, vegan, gmo, sugar, eat out, don't eat out....it's exhausting right? Well, today you will learn how to break through all that noise and find what works for you.

The reason Yoda and Mediation are so HUGE and IMPORTANT is because of the benefits, not just because the poses aid in better digestion and flexibility or because meditation helps you get quiet and in touch with yourself, but in layman's terms....the effects on your life look like this:

Confidence

Healing from the Past

Releasing things that no longer serve you

Getting you in touch with what YOU need, emotionally and physically

Learning to listen to your body so you know how to move it and how to feed it

Drowning out the noise-listening to what is already inside

Spending time alone

Accepting yourself exactly as you are

More Fulfilling Relationships

Desire to fuel your body properly

Understanding that you are in control of all that is in your life

Discover where your body holds pain, hurt, stress and how to heal that

Did you know you could get all that from sitting on a mat and getting quiet?

The reason these practices are so popular is because they can help you clear your path through the noise and find what works best for YOU!

And yes that means diet, food choices, exercise, relationships, career and everything else in your life that needs attention!! Learn to understand what causes you stress! Does caffeine really give you the energy you need? Is wine really the only way you can wind down? What if you're eating and drinking foods that make your body operate worse?

Of course it does take time and research to find the "right" foods/exercise/practice that works best for you but instead of aimlessly clicking and buying, STOP!! Take some time to get to know who you are and what you need. NO ONE ELSE can tell you that. Not your doctor, trainer, spouse, best friend... You have all the answers. The problem is we forget or don't know how to listen to what our soul and spirit are telling us. (obviously a Dr., nutritionist or trainer can help you but you know your body better than they do-seek advice but pay attention to what your body tells you)

1. Spend some time alone. I would say without noise but if your best thinking comes when listening to your favorite tunes, then do that. Walk. Ride Bike. Swim. Sauna. Spa. Write. Run...whatever is your jam, do that. Alone! Listen! What do you need? What feels good?

2. Do this often. Once a week, that one Thursday...won't bring you the answers. Sometimes it takes months. Journal your journey!!

3. Meditate...even if you don't get it at first. Try and try again. Try online meditations...try HeadSpace...go to a Meditation class... learn to be still and quiet and listen.

4. Understand this one truth....It is YOU and only YOU that can give you what you need.

If you don't know what that is, you cannot heal and be healthy.

Once and for all, deal with the past and begin to love yourself just as you would guide a friend to do if she/he were stuck. Did you know holding hurt/guilt/regret from the past is stored in your body and can very much affect your health?

5. Ask yourself: What makes me feel happy? Content? At peace? Confident?

What foods make me feel sick? Bloated? Anxious? What foods give me energy? Make my skin look good? What exercise am I happy to do? What workouts do I dislike?

6. Learn to discover what your mind, body, and spirit are craving and you will never have to be confused about which diet, what foods, what lifestyle you need. You will answer these for yourself and your body will thrive as a result!!

My goal is to help people find their ultimate wellness and happiness so we can share our wealth with those less fortunate. You want to know your purpose? It is to heal the sick, love the unlovable, teach & serve, give back what you have been given.
